One year ago tonight...
Evan was chillin' in here:
I. Was. Huge. Seriously. I debated not posting this picture because I look so horrible, but hey. The things we do for love. It's an accurate picture. I walked around looking like that, so whatever.

Evan's new trick...
is NOT cute. It's finding stuff and throwing it in the toilet. On Sunday I found Olivia's toothbrush in the toilet. Then earlier I found that he'd picked up little Kaedon's pajama top and crawled into the bathroom and threw IT in the toilet. Note to self: keep all bathroom/toilet closet doors CLOSED!!
Busy Weekend!
We had a great Mother's Day weekend. For the most part. Saturday the kids (and Daddy and Uncle Sheldon) were in a karate tournament in Claremore, Oklahoma. It was a really fun day and they all took home some trophies! Little Kaedon won first place in the forms for his age group!! Olivia won second place in the forms for HER age group. I'm so proud of both of them. Olivia was competing against much older kids, too! We ate at Hammett House and it was GREAT! The kids both got to order pieces of pie that were, as Little Kaedon put it, "bigger than my Daddy's head!"
Sunday we went to church, did brunch, and then Mommy got to go shopping alone for a couple of hours. It was really nice!
Unfortunately when we came back into town we took Sheldon by his in-laws house and found many ambulances and firetrucks, ect. We were all scared because Mallory and the kids were there. They turned out to be fine but Mallory's mom and many other people were injured when their upper deck collapsed. It was so scary. If you haven't hear about it, here is a link to the news story: http://nwanews.com/nwat/News/76461/ Scary stuff. We are so grateful that Mallory and the kids were not on that deck when it collapsed!!

What I did today...
I dusted off the old sewing machine today and it felt good! I really need to make time for some projects and try to get creative again. It was a cold and rainy afternoon and Evan and I were home alone so I decided to try something and it turned out great. If you know me, you know I am a HUGE Halo Sleep Sack fan. Evan outgrew his and I've been lazy about getting a replacement because I would have to order one online. Since the past few nights have been chilly I decided to find one today. I am too nervous to let him sleep with a big blanket all night, plus I figure he'd probably kick it off and be cold anyway. Well, I was poking around on etsy and got a better idea. I made Evan a sleeping bag! I refuse to learn to put in a zipper so I made an actual sleeping bag out of some fleece I've had lying around for a long time. I thought he might wiggle out of it in the night so I put elastic in the top part that goes under his arms. I am really happy with how it turned out. I took a few pictures before he went to bed. He seems pretty pleased with it!

Ok, I just snuck in and took a picture, it's staying on for sure! Yay!
Spring Fairies!
Olivia's class put on a spring program last week. It was very cute and all of the kids did a GREAT job! Olivia was a Spring Fairy. Here is a picture of fairies in action:
Here is one of Olivia and her "co-fairy" after the program was over. Note that I call it a PROGRAM, not a play. I dared to call it a play and Olivia quickly corrected me!
