100 Days of FUN!

Olivia recently celebrated her 100th day of Kindergarten. It's the tradition at St. Joseph's for the kids to dress as if they are 100 years old on that day. Olivia looked hilarious and adorable.

Here she is before school:

And with her teacher:

We are so lucky that we can send her to such a great school. She looks forward to every school day and has been disappointed that school was cancelled all week.

I Do Not Like Ice Storms.

Well, we've survived "Ice Storm 2009" so far. We were without power much of the day and night Tuesday. Luke and Alisha were kind enough to take us in last night around 10. Their electricity went out, however. When we got up this morning, Kaedon came home and our power was back on so luckily we've been warm and safe at home all day today. After driving all over Fayetteville and seeing utter devastation, I realized that we are SO lucky to only have lost a couple of trees.

Here is a picture of the view out of my front door at the beginning of the ice storm:

Here is my current view:

Kinda depressing. But like I said, we are so lucky. Most of the people we know still don't have power, and won't for a while.

Here are a few more pictures I took today.

It's official, I'm a blogger!

So add me to the list of moms blogging about their kids! It was actually my New Year's resolution that I was failing at until I was called out by Sara. I'd love to link to her blog but I don't know how. I'll come back and do it if I figure it out.

Instead of filling up everyone's email inbox with pictures/news of the kids I'll just post them here. Easy peasy.

I'll start with some adorable Christmas pictures.

Yes, I know Christmas was a month ago but that's how I roll.

Whew, that was exhausting!
